The $5 Bin Podcast

The calendar says "October" so it's time for another installment of our Halloween Spook-tacular!  We don't have many traditions around here, but this unfortunately is one of them.  We hate scary movies...

We're wrapping up our "Who Wore It Better" or "Double Take" month with the newest remake of Annie.  Hopefully Erik likes this one better...we are all well aware of his hatred for Carol Burnett.  Note: Erik's views do not represent the views of the entire podcast team.  Carol, you are an American treasure.

It's not surprise what movie we're watching for next week, but I do drop some hints for our Halloween Spook-tacular.  Another prequel episode is ready for ya!

So much singing.  So many impressions.  It's really out of control.  Needless to say, we had a lot of fun recording this episode.  Two of us loved this movie, while one of us can't stand Carol Burnett.  Don't worry, we'll tell you where to send the letters.

We're here to announce a new theme for the next few weeks!  The theme is "Double Take."  We're going to watch an original movie and then watch the remake, in a "Who Wore It Better" kind of match up.  What are the movies?  You'll have to listen to find out!

We wrap up our "Tripping On The Way To The Oscars" theme with Jupiter Ascending.  We laugh. We cry. We wonder why someone gave the Wachowski kids a crap ton of money...again...

This week, there's a brief cameo from Emma and we talk about next weeks "Tripping Up On The Way To The Oscars" movie.

This week, we derail (yet again) from the premise of this podcast to bring you a theme of Erik's creation...he'll explain himself early in the episode.  As an added bonus, there are a few drinking games you can play with this episode: Take a sip 1) every time someone does a Jeff Bridges impression. 2) Someone calls Jeff Bridges a different "Bridges."  Either way, you'll be hammered.  And remember, this is Erik's fault.  I can't stress that enough...

This week, we thank all our viewers for their St. Jude donations and also announce a theme for the next few weeks.  The only clue I can give you is that this weeks movie brings back a couple of actors that really "bring the room together."

In honor of the reboot of "Fantastic Four" premiering this week, we are talking about the UNRELEASED "Fantastic Four" movie from 1994.  You may have heard whispers about this film or you may not have know of its existence.  Either way, you should watch the movie (available on YouTube) and listen to us talk about this B-movie cult classic that never saw the light of day.
